We are proud to receive the Outstanding Restoration award from Historic Athens for our work on the Camak House!
The historic Camak House is believed to be the oldest surviving residence in Athens, Georgia, dating back to the early 1800s. Originally built for James Camak—an influential engineer and early railroad pioneer—the home stands as a rare piece of Athens history, reflecting the craftsmanship and architectural character of Georgia’s earliest years.
Our renovation focused on preserving the integrity and timeless character of the home while thoughtfully restoring it for modern living. Working on a property with this level of historical significance was both an honor and a responsibility, requiring careful attention to detail and respect for the home’s original architecture and materials.
