Howdy friends,
We are growing and have some great opportunities for some honest/hardworking folks who love working outdoors with good people on interesting projects. Hester Outdoor Services is a small but growing landscaping company serving Oconee and surrounding counties. Our family has been in the landscaping business for over 45 years. We design, install, and maintain most elements of the landscape including irrigation, drainage, hardscapes, outdoor lighting, shrubs, trees, and turf. Our customers expect top quality craftsmanship and we hold our employees to a high standard. Honesty, attitude and reliability are a must for any position with us. Experience in construction and operating equipment a plus. We are hiring for three different levels of experience:
1. Entry level- $18-$22/hour. This position could be full time or part time but part time employees must have the ability to work full days. This is a great job for a college student who can schedule classes on MWF or Tues/Thurs and leave the other days open to learn a trade and earn some real $.
2. Full time landscape technician $20-27/hr depending on experience and abilities. We work 4- 10 hour shifts. This opening is for Tuesday- Friday or Wednesday-Saturday.
3. Full time Sales/Project manager. This is a critical role within our company with tons of growth potential. Salary dependent on skills and abilities. Base salary plus performance incentives. Starting salary $60-70k. (More possible for the right person.) This position requires experience in the industry, an outgoing personality, strong organizational skills, and a steady hand in managing schedules, contracts, stress and personalities. The right candidate will be a driven, coachable, go-getter of high moral character. BS in landscape architecture, horticulture or construction related field a plus. Our owner is a licensed Professional Engineer and a lifelong landscaper searching for the right person to work closely with as we strive to serve our community and take this company to the next level.

Happy Sunday evening y'all!
With the warming temperatures and new growth forming it's an exciting time to be a landscaper! A few things to keep on your radar for the upcoming season:
-We are currently taking on new customers for lawn maintenance and would love to give you a quote.
-We are scheduling irrigation system checkups to get things in order before the heat arrives.
-We perform core aeration in the summer. Call to get on our list today!
- Our schedule is already filling up for warm season sod installation (Bermuda, Zoysia, Centipede). The ideal window for this is April - July-
-As always, we are happy to meet with you and discuss any of your needs from complete landscape design to construction of the more teechnical elements of your yard like drainage systems, outdoor lighting, and hardscapes.

The Hester Outdoor Sunday crew working on Christmas presents for our customers this afternoon😍. Many of you know my dad was a lifelong beekeeper and he loved to give his honey as Christmas presents. I don’t keep bees myself but proud to continue that tradition.

Hey everybody,
Check out this sneak peek of an amazing project we are wrapping up.  This customer had an almost unusable backyard due to the steep hill and poor grading/dranage. This yard stayed muddy all the time. This Customer is a huge Dawgs fan and wanted a backyard fit to entertain on game day. Despite the muddy conditions and limited access to the backyard for our equipment, we were able to design and install this solution and hopefully made this backyard the envy of any Saturday in Athens.
-Grading
-Retaining walls
-Paver patio
-Astroturf putting green
-Shrubs and groundcovers
-Zeon zoysia sod
-Automatic irrigation
-French drainage system
-Outdoor lighting
We are thankful for our amazing customers and amazing employees. We couldn’t do fun things like this without them.

We charge $80 for a checkup and if we find any needed repairs we apply that $80 to the repair.

The ideal candidate would work Mondays and Wednesdays but more hours available if needed. Great job for a college student if you can schedule classes on Tuesday and Thursday.

Pay depends on dependability, work ethic, attitude and experience. $12-$18/hour.

We are a small family-owned company but we are growing growing and there is potential for long term leadership positions in the coming years.

We are primarily a landscape installation company specializing in complex projects involving drainage, irrigation, hardscapes, shrubs and turf. We also provide year-round lawn maintenance services.
