DO THE JOB RIGHT. GO HOME AT NIGHT.

Safety doesn’t happen by accident.

It comes from knowing the hazards, following the protocols and having the training to do the work the right way before you ever step onto the jobsite.

That’s part of what SMART18 builds into the trade.

Through apprenticeship training and ongoing education, SMART18 members learn how to recognize hazards, use the right equipment and follow the safety standards that keep themselves and their crews protected.

Work safer. Work SMART. Learn more at SMART18.work.

DON’T JUST CHECK THE BOX. CHECK THE DAMPER.

A completed inspection report doesn’t make a fire and fire/smoke damper work.

The inspection does.

That means finding deficiencies. Knowing what they mean. And having the training and certification to do the job correctly.

SMART18 Fire Life Safety professionals are ICB-certified through an ANSI-accredited program — bringing specialized training to the inspection of the systems designed to help contain fire and smoke.

SMART18 has more certified fire-life-safety technicians in Wisconsin than any other organization.

THE FIRE IS NOT THE TIME TO FIND OUT...

Fire Prevention Week is a reminder that fire safety starts long before the alarm sounds.

Fire and smoke dampers are designed to help contain fire and smoke and give firefighters more time to do their job. But they only work when they’re properly inspected, maintained and operating as intended.

That’s why training matters. Certification matters. And who does the work matters.

SMART18 has more trained and ICB-certified Fire & Smoke Damper Technicians than any other organization in Wisconsin, with certification through an ANSI-accredited program.
