In Wisconsin, workers fought — and seven were killed in Bay View in 1886 — in the struggle for the 8-hour day. This Labor Day, SMART18 honors the workers who helped win the time, dignity, and protections too many now take for granted.

CELEBRATE LABOR DAY THE UNION WAY WITH SMART18 AT LABOR FEST 2026!

Bring the kids, bring the family, bring your friends — everyone’s welcome for a full day celebrating the working men and women who keep Wisconsin moving.

The day kicks off with the Labor Day Parade at 11AM from Zeidler Union Square, followed by Labor Fest at the Summerfest Grounds from 11AM–4PM.
