This week we tackled a bathroom that was stuck in 1971. We received a call to complete the renovation to not just convert the tub to a shower, but also make the space work with a wheelchair. We were able to get in, get the job done and turn it over all within the same week. The customer was on a tight timeline to get the job completed, and we were right there to help. There was not a part of this bathroom that didn’t get refreshed! Floor to ceiling, everything got touched. Here is to an accessible bathroom space for times that changed for the owner’s needs, but also for many more years to come for them to enjoy the updated space.

It’s a wrap! The deck that is! We transformed this deck from its builder grade worn out composite, that looked like every other deck in the neighborhood, to this! The deck was rebuilt using Timbertech PVC decking. The customer selected Dark Hickory for the border & Coastline for the inside and steps. We moved the location of the stairs while maintaining the same size of the main deck. We also put additional detail into not only the waterfall outside edge on the steps, but also folded corners where we could to eliminate mitre joints. To put the final touches on it, we closed it all in using Trex Signature aluminum black railing & posts. The customer is very pleased with the finished product, and it certainly stands out enough to have all the neighbors stopping by!

We said there was two, and here is the second bathroom. This is the half bath that was on the main floor. We removed the existing vanity, replacing it with a Shiloh cabinet, finished in Repose Grey (Sherwin Williams) paint color. Topped with a quartz top and under mount sink and MOEN faucet. We removed the closet door with frame an installed a false front cabinet door in place of the door, matching the vanity. Updated the flooring with LVP, craftsman base trim, replaced the exhaust fan, updated towel bars & vanity light to complete.

The highlights to the space were replacing the existing vanity that was a 30” height, bringing it to 36” standard height, along with centering the sink. This update turned out great, and the customer is very pleased with the results!

Before the holiday break we had the opportunity to tackle two bathrooms for a customer while they were away on vacation. It means a lot when a customer puts their trust in us to work within their home when they are not even in the same state. It also makes doing what we do a lot easier, as we were able to tear down both bathrooms at the same time and rebuild them without interruption of for daily use.

It started on the second level, where we removed a cast tub with and glue up wall system, vanity, top, toilet lights and both soffits, allowing for the eye to play less Tetris when entering the space, but also give it a larger more open feel. We reworked electrical & plumbing then closed up the walls and refinished the drywall. Fresh coat of paint, a new shower pan set and wrapped the space in tile following installation of the Shiloh vanity stained in a Harbor Sherwin Williams color and a quartz top and under mount sink. New LVP, towel bars, coordinated MOEN fixtures, new white craftsman trim, toilet, LED lighting and an upgraded 110cfm exhaust fan properly exhausted through the roof. Completed with a Sterling semi frameless glass shower door.

The customer was very satisfied when they returned home to find their new bathroom space and excited for the updated space after 40yrs of the old one! Thank you for trusting us with the process, design and building of your space.

Here is a sneak peek of the double bathroom project we have going. There has been a lot of detail with setting the tile, but after a few weeks following demo, this customer is able to have full use of their remodeled bathroom! We just have to put some paint on the walls once a color is selected and hang the medicine cabinet. Turned out great!!! We will post the collection of pictures once all the work is completed.

Our team successfully finished a deck replacement surrounding part of an above ground pool last week. Just in time for the holiday weekend getaway with our camper, family and friends. As we have settled back in, we thought we could showcase the outcome of this project. It turned out great, and what a difference!

As the work week came to a close for this week, we thought we’d share a little about what we were working on. The entire crew was onsite tackling a side by side bathroom demo & rebuild. We have removed all the fixtures, floors and walls down to the bones! The old cast iron drains and galvanized supply lines for the entire house have been removed and rebuilt using pvc and PEX. New electrical feeding the man bathroom with adding an exhaust fan properly vented out the roof. New insulation, subfloor, shower pan and drywall installed and finished to wrap up the week! Next week we will begin the tiling process on half walls, flooring & shower. We will post additional progress photos to highlight the progress as it will not be a traditional layout.

Here’s a sneak peak of the second bathroom we were putting together last week. Tile work is done, just waiting for the glass to come in to wrap it up! And yes… we solved the double mystery of the reason the floor was elevated 8” in shower as well as why it drained terribly! DIY or someone who did it cheaper? Either way, it’s now done right! We will post the finish product hopefully in the coming week!
