Our River View Construction crew is making great progress installing reinforced concrete storm pipe using Trimble Earthworks GPS machine control on our CAT excavator, paired with a Trimble GPS Rover for grade verification.

This technology allows our operators to excavate to design grade with exceptional accuracy while enabling the field crew to quickly verify pipe elevations and alignment throughout the installation process. The result is improved efficiency, reduced rework, and confidence that every section of pipe is installed exactly where it belongs.

It’s a great example of combining skilled operators, experienced pipe crews, and the latest GPS technology to deliver quality infrastructure for our clients.

Great work by the entire crew!

Another major milestone is underway at our industrial waste landfill construction project.

Our crews are currently installing the leachate collection drainage stone and piping system, followed by placement of the sand drainage layer. These components are critical to the long-term performance of the landfill.

The drainage stone surrounding the collection pipes allows leachate (the liquid that naturally forms as water passes through waste) to flow efficiently to the collection system, where it can be safely managed and treated. The sand drainage layer provides an additional pathway for leachate movement while helping protect the underlying liner system.

✈️ The River View Construction crew has been hard at work on a runway project at Lakeland Airport in Minocqua.

From pulverizing and reclaiming the existing runway material to fine grading and compaction, every step is focused on building a strong, long-lasting foundation for the runway improvements ahead.

Runway pulverization is a process where the existing asphalt surface is ground up and blended with a portion of the underlying base material to create a reclaimed foundation layer. This process strengthens the runway base, improves stability, and allows much of the existing material to be reused right on site before new pavement is installed.

Lakeland Airport (ARV), also known as Noble F. Lee Memorial Field, is a public general aviation airport serving the Minocqua-Woodruff area in Vilas County, Wisconsin. Especially during the summer months, ARV serves as a busy gateway to the Northwoods for residents and visitors alike.

Not every day is blue skies and dry ground. April brings the mud, but our crew brings the work ethic.
Progress doesn’t stop.

From site prep to liner work, our team keeps pushing forward through the toughest spring conditions. It’s not always pretty, but it’s how real work gets done.
