Just had a lawn application? We often get asked:

“When can I mow?” “Can the kids play yet on the lawn?” “What about the dog?”

Our recommendation? Wait 24 hours before mowing or allowing kids and pets back on the lawn. A little patience gives the treatment time to settle in and work effectively.

Our lawn application crews are already applying our early fall broadleaf w**d treatment, targeting common w**ds like dandelions, clover, and plantain.

Fall is a great time to tackle perennial w**ds while they’re moving nutrients into their roots, helping reduce the chance they return next spring. 🔁🌱 Our team carefully considers weather and turf conditions to ensure treatments are applied at the right time for your lawn.

Is it too early to start thinking about fall? 🍂

We know — it’s still summer. But if you’ve been putting off a landscape project, the next season is closer than it seems.

Fall can be an ideal time to:
🌳 Add new trees, shrubs, and perennials
✨ Refresh overgrown or tired planting beds
💦 Update irrigation
💪Tackle larger landscape improvements

And the best part? You don’t have to know exactly what you want yet.

We can talk through your ideas and help create a plan that works for your space.

Summer may still be in full swing, but our fall project calendar is filling up. Call us today: 319-404-9133

Insects are common in late summer, but not every insect requires treatment. 🐛 Start by looking closely at the plant:

👉 Check the undersides of leaves.

👉 Look for holes, curling, discoloration, webbing, or sticky residue.

👉 Identify whether the damage is active or from an earlier part of the season.

👉 Check whether beneficial insects are present - no need to treat for helpers!

👉 Avoid applying broad treatments before the pest is identified.

Some plants can tolerate a small amount of insect activity without long-term damage. If an infestation is spreading or the plant is showing significant stress, professional diagnosis and treatment may be appropriate.

❌ Landscaping myth: You have to wait until spring to plant. Late summer and early fall are actually ideal for planting! Warm soil helps roots establish, while cooler temperatures make it easier for new trees, shrubs, and perennials to settle in without the stress of summer heat. Planning ahead now means a stronger, healthier landscape next year.
