Thank you to The Olde Country Store and More - 1849 for entrusting me in completing this project. It is a great pleasure to work with local community businesses.
Everyone who stopped by this weekend has seen our new checkout counter. We loved seeing all the surprised faces from our family, friends, and regulars.
We've kept it a secret from everyone, but now it's time to show off our new counter and to send out a big thank you to Mike Walker from In The Doghouse Custom Creations. He did an absolutely stunning job on this. The front part is the old cheese counter, which we have been using as a display table in that corner. He fixed it, color matched the paint and gave it a fresh coat of paint. The side part he custom built and included the counter top that used to be part of an old candy counter, which Kelly Briglin (her family owned the store between the 50s and 70s) herself brought to us a few years ago.
We are so in love with our new checkout space and the work Mike did.
So if you come in, look to your left to say hi. 😁
