A complete walkway transformation built the right way from the ground up. 👌

For this Wayne project, we started by removing the existing walkway pavers, which had shifted and moved significantly over time. Once we opened everything up, we found one of the main reasons why — the pavers were not installed over a proper open-graded base.

Our client originally wanted to match the existing pavers, but matching new pavers to older, weathered pavers is nearly impossible. Instead of trying to force a match that would never look quite right, we broke up the old and new areas and created an intentionally different design that complements what was already there.

We removed the old material and rebuilt the walkway with a proper open-graded base designed to provide strength, stability, and drainage so the new installation will perform the way it should for years to come.

We also installed beautiful Belgian block with custom curves along the walkway. Not only does it add character and definition to the design, but it also serves as a solid gravel stop to keep the river rock contained and in place.

For the walkway itself, we used oversized 2’x3’ pavers as stepping stones, carefully calculating the spacing of every step to make sure the walkway wasn’t just beautiful, but comfortable and natural to walk on. We finished between the stepping stones with river rock for a clean, modern look.

What started as a difficult area to match turned into an opportunity to create something completely unique — and this time, it’s built on a foundation designed to last.

Sometimes it’s the finishing touches that completely transform a backyard. 👌

For this project, we extended our client’s existing patio to create more usable outdoor living space while giving the entire property the attention it deserved.

One of the highlights of this project was designing two custom walkways using oversized 2’x3’ Techo-Bloc stepping stones surrounded by river rock, creating a clean, modern look that ties everything together beautifully.

The existing patio had no concrete edge restraint, which caused the border pavers to begin separating over time. We installed a full concrete edge restraint around the entire patio to properly secure it for years to come. From there, we power washed the patio and installed fresh polymeric sand, bringing it back to life.

To finish everything off, we brought in fresh topsoil, graded the entire yard, and seeded it to leave the property looking clean from every angle.

Most importantly, our clients couldn’t have been happier with the final result. It was truly a pleasure working with such amazing homeowners, and we’re grateful they trusted BRACCO Paver Co. with their project.

This 1,000 sq. ft. Techo-Bloc patio in Wayne, NJ is a perfect example of how great hardscape design is about more than just the patio itself—it’s about how every space flows together.

The custom curved walkway was designed to give multiple functional paths: seamlessly leading you up the deck stairs, underneath the deck, or directly onto the patio. Every transition feels natural, making the entire backyard more inviting and enjoyable to use.

The details are what bring it all together. Every corner features precise 45° miter cuts, while the border naturally guides you onto the patio and toward each destination, creating a clean, elegant look from every angle.

This raised patio was designed with both beauty and durability in mind, featuring custom inlay borders, a 6’ × 3’ stoop, and clean 45° miter cuts on every corner for a seamless, high-end finish. It’s the small details that separate a good patio from a great one.

Before & after of a repair that should’ve never been needed. 👀

This patio was only 5 years old, but it was installed without any edge restraint. Unfortunately, this is more common than it should be.

Without proper edge restraint, pavers can slowly spread, joints begin to open up, and the patio starts to lose its integrity over time.

Our fix? We excavated a trench around the entire perimeter and installed a concrete edge restraint to properly lock everything in place and protect the investment for years to come.
