Had a new customer reach out that got scammed by a chimney company with “16k followers and hundreds of bought reviews”….turns out the company didnt do one thing right and caused more harm than good.
1) Every rain storm rain poured in the house and woodstove after paying a good lump sum of money.
2)They hacked the hole to cut out for the Class A cieling kit that was bigger than the frame
3)They didnt even know how to properly secure anything
4)Woodstove pipe installed incorrectly and was installed at a 45 degree slant to the left when looking at it straight on(forgot their level apparantly)
5)The Class A roof flashing was nailed down ON TOP of the shingles with 18 nails penetrating through the roof with no sealant. You can see saturated insulation that was sitting inside the cieling kit.

We fixed everything correctly & just need to install the roof bracket kit tommorrow!

*Be careful who you hire for these types of work, always ask for a COI and never be afraid to look up if they are in good standing with the state/registered!*

Finishing touches to this bulkhead project in Dunbarton, NH. New powdercoated bulkhead from Pro-Line Basement Products & i had a custom extension piece made of 3/16 steel with a paint match from Goffstown Ace Hardware that was perfect! Siding is getting fixed monday, and soon a new landscape design will be added!

This is why you hire a professional and NOT a handyman for all your wood/pelletstove/chimney needs. Yes a Class A system may seem “expensive” but it is the only safe way to do so without a chimney. This couldve been ALOT worse and they are lucky this is all that happened.
