Back by popular demand for its second year, the Weatherford Daily News is excited to once again present the Green Spade Award, recognizing some of the most beautiful and creative gardens in Weatherford this summer.
How the award works:
•Two Winners Each Month: For June and July, two outstanding gardens will be selected each month to receive the Green Spade Award.
•Each winner will receive: A special Green Spade Award sign for their yard, including a spade they get to keep. A feature photo of their garden in the Weatherford Daily News. A gift certificate to one of the following local businesses: Horsecreek Landscaping and Garden Center, Ace Hardware, Tractor Supply, or Janie’s Garden Center.
Who can be nominated ?
•You can nominate a neighbor with a stunning garden or yourself as self-nominations are encouraged!
How to Nominate
•Submit your nomination via Facebook Messenger to the Weatherford Daily News.
• Include the following information:
The address of the garden you’re nominating. The phone number of the nominee.
• All personal information (address and phone number) will be kept strictly confidential.
Why Participate?
This is a chance to recognize and celebrate the gardeners who help Weatherford bloom, whether through vibrant flower beds, creative landscaping or productive vegetable gardens. Winners will not only receive public recognition and a keepsake award but also a gift certificate to support their gardening passion at one of Weatherford’s garden centers.
