🌊 Meet Chase — Maintenance Technician Assistant
Chase is back for his second summer with Pool To Spa Services as a Maintenance Technician Assistant. He recently graduated high school and has been attending Wenatchee Valley College through the Running Start program. After the summer season wraps up, Chase will be joining the United States Navy.
❓ This is your second summer with Pool To Spa Services. What made you want to come back this year?
Chase shared that he missed the people, the conversations, and the work itself. He enjoys seeing the team each morning and having something different to do throughout the day.
❓ What’s been your favorite part of working here so far?
One of Chase's favorite parts of the job has been visiting properties throughout the region and seeing beautiful locations he otherwise might never have the opportunity to experience. From unique homes to incredible views, he says it's one of the most memorable parts of the work.
❓ What’s one thing about pool maintenance that you never would have expected before working here?
According to Chase, he was surprised by how much chemistry is involved in pool care. Before working in the industry, he didn't realize how much water balance and chemistry impact keeping a pool clean, clear, and operating properly.
❓ What’s been your most memorable moment on the job so far?
Chase's answer came quickly: getting to jump into a pool to help fix a floor cleaning head. While most maintenance work happens poolside, that particular repair gave him the chance to get in the water and made for a memorable day on the job.
❓ What’s one thing you’ve learned from the technicians you work with?
Chase said one of the biggest things he has learned is how much knowledge and experience the technicians bring to the table. Whether it's learning about different career paths, life experiences, or simply seeing how different people approach challenges, he feels he's gained a little bit of knowledge from everyone he has worked with.
❓ You recently graduated high school and will be joining the Navy after the summer. What are you most looking forward to about that next chapter?
Chase said he is excited for a fresh start, new experiences, and the opportunity to begin a new chapter in life. He is particularly interested in pursuing opportunities in the computer and electronics fields while serving.
