First look at Merritt Reserve. Our crews recently passed erosion control inspection and continue making progress on one of the largest residential developments in our backlog.

This project will require thousands of truckloads of dirt and stone, miles of underground utilities, and countless hours from the people building it every day.

We’re proud to have Justin Fanning on the Marks team as our VP of Commercial Estimating. Justin brings more than 25 years of experience estimating commercial and multifamily sitework projects, along with a deep understanding of the early collaboration and planning it takes to execute complex jobs the right way.

Justin relocated from the greater Washington, D.C. area to join Marks and help lead the growth of our commercial division here in North Carolina. That kind of belief in where we’re headed means a lot to our team.

From the beginning, Justin saw something different in Marks; the people, the culture, the faith and family values, and the vision for growth. We’re excited for what’s ahead and grateful to have him helping build the next chapter alongside us.

Safety training is never a checkbox at Marks. The work we do is dangerous and staying sharp matters.

This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave everything for our country.

The Marks office will be closed Monday, May 25 in observance of the holiday. We will resume normal business hours Tuesday, May 26.

What drew John to Marks was our culture of, Faith, Family, and Dirt.

Curb and stone work is complete on N. Durham Parkway at Avalon, and asphalt started going down yesterday.

This City of Durham road extension connects directly to Cheek Road and will serve as the main entrance to this 190-acre community being developed by Meritage Homes. Once complete, Avalon will provide 513 new homes to the area.

We’re performing Phases 1–7 of the turnkey sitework scope, from clearing and mass grading to utilities, paving, and final asphalt. Our team moved more than 640,000 cubic yards of dirt and rock to bring this project to life.
