George Wertz Tract William Penn State Forest

George Wertz Tract William Penn State Forest The Wertz Tract is a 400-acre section of the William Penn State Forest. The property was formerly the watershed of the Wernersville State Hospital.

Its namesake, George Wertz, was the local mill and farm owner who lived at the bottom of the mountain.

This campsite is found just a few minutes off of Route 724 and is near the Schuylkill River Trail 🌳⛺️🌳
