Patio Pools

Sometimes, starting over is the best way forward.

This backyard already had a pool, but our clients envisioned something completely different: a more intimate, spa-inspired retreat with a more functional use of their deck space. We removed the existing pool and went back to the drawing board, designing a completely new space from the ground up.⁣
⁣
Our 3D AutoCAD renderings allow clients to see their vision before construction begins, creating a clear picture of how the finished pool and surrounding space will come together.⁣

Small footprint. Big impact.

Spools, also known as cocktail pools, are the perfect balance between a swimming pool and spa, and they’ve quickly become a popular choice for homeowners looking to maximize a smaller outdoor space.

And this project is a perfect example of why.

Designed for both entertaining and unwinding, this cocktail pool features generous built-in seating, therapy jets, and water-feature scuppers, creating a space that feels more like a private retreat than a traditional pool.

The scuppers add another layer to the experience, creating a gentle cascade of water that brings movement and soothing sound to the space — adding to the ambiance and making this backyard feel like an escape.

The smaller footprint also means less water, fewer chemicals, and more efficient year-round heating or cooling, without sacrificing the luxury of a beautifully designed outdoor space.

For this project, we paired soft, natural tones with layered textures and a Tahoe Blue pebble finish to create a look that feels warm, timeless, and effortlessly elevated.

Project Materials

• Paver deck: — Glacier Eurolock
• Stone: — Talya Gray Split Face Ledge Stone
• Marble Pavers: — Talya Gray Premium Soft Edge Leather Marble Paver
• Tile: — Sunny Day Stratus 6x6
• Interior Finish: StoneScapes Pebble — Tahoe Blue

A smaller pool doesn’t have to mean a smaller experience.

Hey Patio Pools customers,

Heads up—looks like a real cold snap is hitting the Tampa Bay area this weekend. We're talking lows dipping into the mid to upper thirties Saturday night, down to around thirty-three Sunday, and possibly the upper twenties Monday night. That's cold enough to risk freezing pipes, even here in Florida.

We know some of our IntelliFlo or similar variable-speed pumps have that smart anti-freeze protection—it'll kick on automatically if the pump's internal temp drops low, usually around forty degrees, and run at a safe low speed to protect itself.

But here's the thing: that feature guards the pump, not your whole system. If the setting's off, something glitches, or temps drop faster than expected, it might not trigger soon enough.

To safeguard against costly damage like burst or cracked pipes, we strongly suggest you set your pump to run continuously at about one thousand RPM this weekend. That gentle circulation keeps water moving, prevents freezing in lines and equipment, and uses way less energy than you think.

It's a simple step that could save you big headaches. Give us a call if you need help programming it or have questions about your setup. Stay warm out there!

A great way to add some character to your pool deck is by using multiple materials and patterns. This two-toned marble deck and pattern is a great example. ⁣
⁣
This look can be achieved by using a number of different materials, such as pavers, rock, or turf. ⁣
⁣
It’s a great way to add dimension and also define a space for say a table set or a seating area. ⁣
