Jolly Green Tree and Shrub Care We are a full service Horticultural company. we specialize in arboricultral diagnostics and treatment

Spraying
Valuable trees can be defoliated by piercing and sucking insects such as hemlock woolly adelgid, spider mites, and numerous scale insects. The damage can disrupt a tree’s ability to produce nutrients through photosynthesis. Boring insects like rhododendron borer, black turpentine beetles, and dogwood borers can damage woody plants by both encouraging wood rot and allowing entry points for

bacterial and viral pathogens. Our trained arborists will monitor your property though out the year and employ environmentally safe and appropriate sprays to avoid tree damage. Micro Injection

We employ the latest techniques to treat insect infestations, fungal and bacterial aliments in your trees and shrubs. By injecting the solution directly into the tree’s vascular system, a smaller volume of pesticide can be used to ensure a resolution to many issues. Micro injection can be used when drift becomes an issue (directly adjacent to the house or near a body of water where many other applications are prohibited). Deep Root Feeding

Deep root feeding is the most important step in ensuring tree health. Our comprehensive feeding program begins with evaluating soil nutrient levels and customizing the blend fertilizer program to your personal needs. Our feeding program restores the natural balance that is disrupted when groomed landscapes disrupt the natural root system

Trees that have been damaged by construction or defoliated by insects require special attention. Construction damaged trees often need to be fed through the vascular system due to a compromised root system. Trees that are defoliated by either insect or viral pathogens require feeding with special nutrients to replace the carbohydrates lost through defoliation.

Arboricultural Diagnostics

Many problems are caused by environmental factors from girdling roots to improper plant placement. Our staff of certified arborists will evaluate and correct the cultural issues that affect your trees and shrubs. Compaction of a root zone can cause a rapid decline of a tree due to a trees inability to uptake nutrients and water. With the use of cutting edge air knife technology, we can correct these issues. Structural and horticultural pruning of trees and shrubs when done by a professional can identify current and future problems. Our greatest goal is to remove potential points for pathogens to enter the plant and make changes that will promote a healthier tree.

In the green industry we have to deal with the weather. Today we had temperatures that not broke records for the date but it was the 5th hottest day ever recorded at Islip airport. This was a tough one if I have ever come across one.
