P.Y. Estes & Son Inc. is looking to hire an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator / Crusher Operator.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment and crushing plant
• Performing daily pre- and post-operation inspections
• Assisting in training less-experienced employees on proper equipment operation
• Performing maintenance and repairs (welding experience is a plus)
• Following and being knowledgeable of MSHA requirements
• Completing assigned tasks to safely and efficiently produce aggregates
• Supporting crew members and contributing to overall job efficiency
• Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment is required
• Experience with crushing operations and maintenance preferred
• Ability to weld and perform equipment maintenance is a plus
• Must have a valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and tools
• Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple tasks
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Must be physically capable of performing job duties
• Must be willing to work extended hours, nights, and/or weekends as needed
