Demo day surprise: we weren’t the only ones living for this backyard. 🦝

While tearing out the old deck on this project, the crew got a little surprise underneath — a litter of baby raccoons who’d made the space under the porch their home.

Demo paused. Because some things matter more than the schedule. 🛑

We made sure our little tenants were safe before getting back to work. Now this backyard gets a fresh start — and so do they.

This is the part of the job you don’t plan for… but it’s the part that reminds you there’s life in every space we rebuild. 🌳

Just a normal deck teardown in Darien, IL… until we found a litter of baby raccoons living underneath 🦝 You never know what’s waiting under a 20-year-old deck. We made sure the little ones were taken care of before we kept going. Two new paver patios coming to this backyard soon 👀
