Day 103 of construction and the progress is real! 🏠

From pouring the slab to raising the framing, and now watching the sheetrock go up—this custom build is officially transforming from a blueprint into a stunning home. ✨

Every stage of this journey requires precision. Before the sheetrock just went up, we made sure the bones of this house were flawless—from the structural framing to high-efficiency insulation sealed perfectly around every pipe and wire. It’s what’s *behind* these walls that ensures this home will stand strong and efficient for decades to come. 💪🏼

The red coating painted onto shower walls before tiling is most commonly called RedGard.

It is a brand name for a liquid waterproofing and crack-prevention membrane.

How it works: It goes on pink and dries into a solid, rubbery red layer. Tile and grout are not actually waterproof, so this layer acts as a protective shield to prevent water from soaking into your walls and causing mold or wood rot.

Application: It is painted or rolled onto cement backer boards (like an extra-thick coat of paint) and usually requires two coats to ensure there are no pinholes where water could seep through.

Now that the shower is waterproof we are able to install the beautiful tile! ❤️

Nothing beats the transformation of a job site when it moves from the foundation to the framing stage. The skeleton of the home finally takes shape, and you can truly start to feel the scale and soul of each room. 🤩

From the architectural detail of tray ceilings that add a touch of elegance to the airy, expansive feel of vaulted ceilings, every stud and beam is placed with purpose. One of our favorite features in this build is the floor-to-ceiling fireplace, which is already anchoring the main living space as a stunning focal point.

There’s a certain nostalgia and pride that comes with the smell of fresh lumber in the morning. We are incredibly proud to partner with a local framer who has been perfecting his craft right here in our community for over 15 years. That kind of experience ensures that every corner is square and every header is solid—the kind of "good bones" every homeowner deserves.

The progress is moving fast! Stay tuned as we move into the next phase of bringing this vision to life.
