It's been a week...🙄

SO much rain ☔🌧️ and a necessary water heater installation at our home 🏡 has put us rather far behind for the week.

Paul dodged rain showers ☔ yesterday, and is back out today for a (hopefully 🙏) dry day of mowing.

Great tips for feeding our feathered friends...🐦🪶🪺

The feeder setup that worked in January doesn't match what's happening in your yard now. Here's the seasonal swap.

Remove the suet cage if it's in direct sun. Suet melts above seventy-five degrees and rancid fat damages feathers. Move it to deep shade or take it down until fall.

Add fruit. Orange halves on a platform or nailed to a post attract orioles, tanagers, and catbirds. Replace every two to three days before mold sets in.

Start hummingbird nectar. Four parts water, one part white sugar, boiled and cooled. No red dye — the feeder color is enough to attract her. Change every three to four days in warm weather. Fermented nectar grows mold that's fatal.

Switch seed blends. Winter mix heavy on millet and corn attracted juncos and sparrows. Spring blend should emphasize black oil sunflower and safflower — the seeds that cardinals, grosbeaks, and finches need during chick-rearing.

Keep the mealworm dish going. Protein demand is highest right now — every chick-feeding parent in the yard benefits. Live mealworms are best. Rehydrated dried works.

The feeder evolves with the season. The birds using it changed. The food should too 🌿

This afternoon we completed a first mow of the season at this beautiful property on the Allport Cut-off.

We enjoyed watching and listening to the many birds 🐦 that were singing 🎶, and we noticed that this customer's big lilac bush is just starting to bloom!

What a blessing to be working outdoors today! ☀️

We were out on this beautiful morning ☀️ for a Spring clean-up and first mow of the season for a customer in Bigler.

We filled the truck bed to overflowing with grass clippings, sticks, and yard debris.

Yesterday was maintenance day! 🔧

The fleet got oil and filter changes, new belts, and blades sharpened/replaced.

We are ready for mowing season 2026! 🎉

Paul is out in-town Osceola Mills getting some of his push-mow clients taken care of today. 🏡
