Concrete takes a beating in the Midwest. Every winter, water sneaks into tiny cracks… then freezes, expands, and slowly pushes the slab out of place. That’s what we call a freeze-thaw cycle—and it’s one of the biggest reasons concrete settles around here. The good news? A solid lift with high-density foam gives your concrete the support it needs to stay put, year after year.

Water always takes the easiest path and if your concrete is sinking, that path might be straight toward your foundation.

When a sidewalk or driveway slab settles, it can tilt just enough to change how water drains. Instead of flowing away from your house, rain and snowmelt can start pooling near your foundation. Over time, that extra moisture puts pressure on basement walls, seeps into cracks, and creates the perfect setup for water damage.

It might look like “just a little dip” in the concrete, but that dip could cost you way more than concrete lifting.

Front steps are the welcome mat of your home, but when they start sinking or the sidewalk leading up to them pulls away, they're more than just an eyesore. Uneven steps can become a real tripping hazard, and gaps between the stoop and house let water sneak in where it shouldn't. What starts as “a little tilt” can turn into big repair bills if left alone. Concrete lifting–using high-density polyurethane foam–will keep your entry safe, sturdy, and looking like it should.

Have you checked around your front steps lately? Hidden voids under landscaping rock or mulch are common in our area. They can cause the whole stoop to sink over time—worth a quick yearly check.
