Some of the most valuable knowledge on a crew never came from a manual.
It came from experience.

It’s the lesson someone learned years ago and takes a minute to pass along. The technique a teammate demonstrates instead of simply explaining. The question that leads to a better conversation about how the work gets done.

That exchange of knowledge matters.

Every time an experienced employee shares what they’ve learned, and every time someone newer to the work asks why, the whole team has an opportunity to get better.

Skills build careers. Shared experience builds teams.

And when people invest in one another, that knowledge keeps moving forward.

It’s been a great start to the ALDC Fall 2026 Conference!

The Lewis Services team has enjoyed connecting with cooperative leaders, industry partners, and friends from across the country.

If you’re attending ALDC, there’s still time to stop by, say hello, and connect with Steve Powell and Armando Ochoa. We’d love to see you and talk about how Lewis Services supports electric cooperatives and utility partners across the country.

We’ll be here through September 3 — come visit us!

We’re proud to be heading back to the ALDC Fall 2026 Conference as a Megawatt Sponsor.

Electric cooperatives play an important role in the communities they serve, and that member-focused mindset is something we value at Lewis Services. As a 100% employee-owned company, our people bring that same sense of ownership, responsibility, and commitment to the work we do every day.

We’re looking forward to connecting with cooperative leaders from across the country, sharing ideas, and continuing to build relationships that help keep utility systems safe, reliable, and ready to serve.

If you’ll be at ALDC, be sure to connect with Steve Powell and Armando Ochoa from the Lewis Services team.

See you in Texas!

The details worth noticing are usually small—until they aren’t.

A change in conditions. A piece of equipment that doesn’t sound quite right. Something about the work area that’s different from yesterday.

Experienced crews learn to pay attention to those signals.

That awareness is one of the most valuable things people bring to the job. It creates opportunities to ask a question, share an observation, adjust the plan, or help a teammate see something they may have missed.

And when people feel comfortable speaking up about what they notice, one person’s observation can become knowledge the whole team benefits from.

Great work doesn’t come from going through the motions.

It comes from staying engaged in the work happening right in front of you.

Good vegetation management starts with understanding what’s around us.

Every work site is part of a larger environment. Trees and vegetation share space with utility infrastructure, homes, roads, wildlife, and the communities our crews serve every day.

That makes thoughtful vegetation management about more than completing the work in front of us. It means understanding site conditions, following the right practices, and approaching each location with care.

For our teams, environmental responsibility and reliable utility service aren’t competing priorities. They’re part of doing thoughtful, professional work in the places people call home.

Because how we leave a site matters, too.

A strong company starts with strong people.

Plans matter. So does knowing when conditions have changed.

In utility vegetation management, no two work sites are identical. Weather shifts. Access changes. Vegetation, terrain, and surrounding activity can introduce new information as the work unfolds.

Strong teams notice early. They communicate clearly. They pause when needed and adjust with purpose.
That isn’t a departure from the plan. It’s professional judgment at work.

At Lewis Services, the people closest to the work are essential to improving the work. Their observations help teams make better decisions today and prepare more effectively for tomorrow.

Some of the most important work never makes it into the project photo.

Before a Lewis crew begins work in the field, people across the organization are already moving the job forward—coordinating resources, maintaining equipment, reviewing safety needs, supporting customers, and making sure the right information reaches the right people.

That work may happen away from the spotlight, but its impact shows up everywhere: in a prepared crew, dependable equipment, a clear plan, and a customer who knows what to expect.

Field performance is a team outcome.

Today, we’re recognizing the people behind the preparation. Your work gives our crews the support they need to perform safely, serve customers well, and keep improving.

Tag someone whose behind-the-scenes work makes your team stronger.

And we back our people with training, support, and opportunities to move forward.

isn’t just a hashtag — it’s a promise.

When storms roll in and conditions get ugly…

Lewis Services is out there clearing the way — rain, snow, wind… doesn’t matter.

Because behind every flipped light switch, every Wi-Fi connection,
every “normal day”…

There’s a crew making sure it stays that way.

Vegetation management might not make headlines,
but it keeps everything else running.

From keeping neighborhoods lit, to making sure businesses stay online
to helping communities, bounce back faster after disaster—

This is what a Job Done Right® looks like.

To the crews out there grinding through every condition…
we see you. We appreciate you. And we’re proud of the work you do.

At Lewis, employee ownership means we’re all working toward the same goal.

Through our ESOP, employees have the opportunity to build long-term financial value while helping strengthen the company for the future. That includes our union workforce, whose hard work, experience, and commitment play an essential role in our shared success.

Different roles. Different responsibilities. One team—and one common purpose.

When Lewis grows, our employee-owners benefit. That’s the power of ownership.
