The new Senior Center for the City of Hawthorne, coming soon!

The Hawthorne Senior Center is well underway. Shots from this week's site visit.⁠
⁠
The concrete slab is in place and the primary building geometry is now legible, including the larger curved forms that organize the plan. Steel is being installed to support the perforated metal panel system. The second-floor slab is also defining a substantial shaded outdoor area below.⁠
⁠
Included renderings show the intended outcome: the west courtyard as a primary outdoor room, and the south facade oriented toward the park.⁠
⁠
Construction is ongoing, with completion expected later this year.

Our Junipero Roller Rink in the City of Long Beach is open!! head on down and take your skates. Part of the City's 'Elevate 28' that is readying the City for the Olympic games in 2028. This one however is definitely for the people (although an Olympic Roller Derby would be SO FUN!) What a great community down there. Well Done City of Long Beach for making this happen.
