Forecast for late tonight into early Thursday April 6 and 7

The evening weather model updates are not helping. The forecast for late tonight into early Thursday is still a mess. So let's make some sense of it. We are watching two areas, one over the deep south and other one over Tennessee. Area number one COULD bring us a few non-severe thunderstorms tonight. Area number two is the one we have to watch. At this time it looks like between 2 am and 7 am we COULD be dealing with SCATTERED strong to severe thunderstorms. IF we get a severe thunderstorm, the main threat will be damaging wind gusts.

The take away here, make sure you have a way to get watches and warnings overnight.
