Over the weekend, we brought our Utah team together to celebrate six months of accomplishments, recognize the wins we’ve shared, and show appreciation for the people who make it all possible.

Happy International Electrician Day to the men and women who power our cities, buildings, homes, and communities.

At X3, we’re proud to employ hundreds of electricians each year across the U.S. and to partner with organizations helping move the electrical trade forward.

Today, we recognize the skill, dedication, and craftsmanship electricians bring to every project. Their work keeps job sites running, communities growing, and the world connected.

PSA: shortcuts are NOT the answer 🙅‍♂️

In construction, many incidents happen because someone thought they could save a few minutes, skip a step, or take the "easy way."

The reality? The safest way is usually the right way.

Whether you're an electrician, plumber, HVAC installer, foreman, or project manager, prioritizing basic safety practices can help prevent injuries, protect your team, and ensure everyone goes home at the end of the day.

A few reminders:
-Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures when required
-Wear the proper PPE for the task
-Use ladders and lifts correctly
-Verify equipment is de-energized before working
-Maintain clean, organized work areas
-Take a moment to identify hazards before starting work
-Follow manufacturer and site-specific safety requirements

Because the few minutes a shortcut might save are never worth the risk.

The government just made it easier to get into the trades.

On May 18, the U.S. Department of Education announced a final rule creating the new Workforce Pell Grant program. Beginning July 1, 2026, Pell Grants can be used for short-term workforce training programs in high-skill, in-demand fields, some as short as 8 weeks.

What does this mean? If cost has kept you from pursuing a trade, this changes things. Eligible training programs could be covered by federal grant money, getting you into the workforce faster and with little to no financial burden.
