Job well done Goats! They cleared this in about eight days. We’ve been clearing this patch of knotweed for several years now and it’s taking them less and less time to devour it because the density is decreasing every year. Freddy and Charlie in the back of the trailer, asking me where is dessert? 🩷

The season is in full swing now. We have two jobs out next week, one clearing a variety of brush and invasives in York and another knotweed patch in Arundel. Good things these goats are always hungry!

Scapegoats season 11 has begun!!! We are at our regular spring time visit to this patch of knotweed. We have been browsing this patch for several years now and it’s interesting to watch the vegetation change and weaken. We are even starting to see the native plants making a come back! The patch is much less dense, much shorter, and now mixed with wild native raspberry, and native golden rod. Knotweed it’s probably the hardest invasive in Maine to eradicate, but persistence pays off! And the most important part, is we have a crew a very happy goats 🩷🩷🩷

Season 11 starts in a couple weeks!! I feel like I’ve been neglecting this page because I’ve been so busy with the nonprofit animal sanctuary but we are ready for another busy goatscaping season! I’ll be reaching out to schedule consults within the next few days. I’m already booking into August with a long list of consults so this season is going to book fast! 🩵⭐️
