I recently had the opportunity to create florals for a wedding, and I’m so grateful I got to bring the bride’s vision to life.
Stepping into the wedding floral industry comes with its challenges, but it also comes with so many rewarding moments. I’m thankful for the successes, grateful for the lessons that come from the mistakes, and excited to keep growing with each wedding I take on.

A few more flower preservation projects I’ve had the opportunity to create over the past couple of weeks! Custom shadow boxes, as well as an elegant floating frame, all hold meaningful memories as well as beauty. One project was for a bride, where I preserved her bridal bouquet into two shadow boxes and a floating frame, and the other for a friend and her family. Sometimes I’m given instructions on what to make, other times my creativity decides what to make. Either way, magic is sure to happen! More projects to come In the future!

As September rolls around and the cutting garden begins to fade, I’m shifting my focus toward harvesting and preserving as many flowers as I can to dry and save for the winter months.
These dried blooms will become the foundation for new creations that will be available next season!

Strawflowers, gomphrena, celosia, zinnias, and so many other blooms make wonderful dried flowers—and I’m excited to see what they inspire this winter!

Another wedding flower preservation project in the books!

For this wedding, I was asked to create a pressed flower frame, along with two shadow boxes. I’m so happy with how everything turned out! It was so much fun preserving the same flowers using two different methods and seeing how they came to life in completely different ways, both 2D and 3D.

These past couple of weeks have been busy, busy! Between my full-time job, my flower business, and all the garden favors, it seems like there’s so much to do and so little time to do it.
Nonetheless, I’ve been squeezing in some wedding flower practice for an upcoming wedding, where I’ll be the florist, as well as some much-needed garden relaxation—touring gardens, gardening, and simply taking in all the beauty around me. August is the month when all the annuals just shine.
I need to enjoy the busyness right now because I know that in just a couple of months, the season will be over, the gardens will quiet down, and I’ll be longing for these flowers all over again. So for now, I’m soaking it all in one day at a time. 🌻💐

There are more flowers blooming each and every day. I love walking through the garden and seeing what’s blooming next. What’s your favorite flower? Mine are the White Swan marigolds! I can’t believe I haven’t grown these sooner!🌻💐
