Marcos is a carpenter here at ENI and is one of the newest members of the team. He has been with the team for a year and a half. Let's get to know him with a bit of Q&A:

A. My initial dream job was to be a forklift driver. The reason it drew my eve was because my dad made a career out of being a forklift driver for Exterior Wood (Taiga). 20+ years in the industry so I thought I was destined to take over for him when he retired, but the career field is limited. In the end I want to make as much money as I can. That career has no path for continuous growth. So, I am glad I am doing what I am doing.
๐. ๐๐จ๐จ๐ค๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐ค ๐๐ญ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐๐ซ ๐ฌ๐จ ๐๐๐ซ, ๐ฐ๐ก๐๐ญ ๐๐๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐ก๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐ซ๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐จ๐?
A. I am most confident in the fact that I am able to do a little bit of everything. A wise person once told me that you don't have to strive to be excellent at every trade, as long as you know just A LITTLE bit of everything. That alone can make you proficient enough to be paid like one of the top contractors in the field.
๐. ๐๐ก๐๐ญ ๐ซ๐๐๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐ก๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ญ ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ค ๐ก๐๐ฌ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐ ๐ข๐ณ๐๐?
A. Being able to confidently say in terms of jobs that are tenant improvement and nee to be turned over as quickly as possible, I could get it done. They are the types of jobs that are most rewarding on that fact alone. You really get to see just how much knowledge someone has on those types of jobs.
๐. ๐๐จ๐ฐ ๐๐จ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ก๐๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ ๐๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฌ? ๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ญ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฒ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฆ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐๐.
A. My tip would be to simply ignore that type of pressure. Lean on your craft and knowledge and trust you can get it done, even if a problem arises. Actually, for me, I live by "there is never a problem". think of solutions to avoid what most would call a problem and you'll learn, in the end, positivity outweighs negativity.
๐. ๐๐ก๐๐ญ ๐๐ซ๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ฉ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ ๐จ๐ ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ค?
A. Outside of work, I am the type of person that likes to get in my truck, take my dog, and go for a drive. Typically long hours and hours of driving. For me, this is how I clear my head. You just have eyes on the road with not a care in the world and just see what the day has in store. Eventually , I always find my way back home. I take pride in seeing all the sights this beautiful Pacific Northwest has to offer. The state of Washington is truly beautiful.
