We would like to extend a big thank you to Daikin Comfort for inviting and accommodating us to Houston for their Be The Pro fall meeting and factory tour!
We were able to meet and network with many other business owners and personnel from around the country and even internationally, as well as supporting vendors.
Daikin is the #1 global manufacturer of HVAC equipment in all sectors, and it is easy to see why if you have toured their factory, Daikin Texas Technology Park, just outside of Houston, TX in Waller. It’s actually the third largest factory in the United States with over 4 million square feet of space. You’ll do a lot of walking if you’re not assigned a bicycle. Yes, you have to be special to be assigned a bicycle in this factory.
At Daikin’s factory in Waller, they make all residential products under their three brands Daikin, Amana, and Goodman. Even hotel units (PTACs packaged terminal air conditioner). Also some light commercial up to 25 tons, and it’s all made under one giant roof that you could fit 74 football fields inside of.
Daikin’s factory employs 10,000 American jobs and over 20 languages spoken on any given day, just at that factory alone. Built with American pride.
The factory makes about 20,000 pieces of equipment every single day, and actually feels like a stress free environment compared to what it looks like when you first walk onto the manufacturing floor.
There is even a Starbucks inside the factory manufacturing space, believe it or not.
Daikin also does very extensive testing on their equipment, all the way down to the cardboard boxes that protect the equipment during shipment. Daikin is really trying with real effort to make sure they deliver the best equipment possible and it makes us happy to see that.
