We still keep generic capacitors, but we are moving towards using this style capacitor across all of our work.
Turbo Capacitors have made a great name in the HVAC industry for being robust and sturdy (for over 20 years!). Made in the USA in Palm Coast, Florida with a 5 year warranty. We have seen many posts across HVAC forums and our own experience of these lasting well past their warranty period.
It’s a universal capacitor. Basically instead of carrying 10-20 different single-size capacitors, we can carry just a couple of these to maximize our truck/van cargo space.
They even come with a sticker on the side that says exact what the test values and test date (and time!!) are before it leaves the factory. The serial number for warranty is also on that same sticker.
They are more expensive than a generic capacitor, but we would rather sell products that we know work well and for long periods of time. There are many repair parts out there that can barely make it a year or two without giving up, so anything we can do to improve upon that is always an achievement for our customers.
