🚨 Before & After! 💡

This light fixture literally fell out of the ceiling. 😳 We came in, secured everything properly, and got it safely back where it belongs.

Another electrical hazard taken care of! ⚡️

If your light fixture is loose, sagging, or pulling away from the ceiling—don’t ignore it.

It's not just hot outside. It's hot where this plug connects. 🔥

We found this on a recent service call: a 240V window AC plug with a scorched blade, and a receptacle burned at the same spot. Window units pull a heavy load for hours at a time. When the contact inside an outlet wears out or gets loose, the connection heats up, and it keeps getting worse until something melts.

Watch for these warning signs on your AC outlet:
• The plug or faceplate feels warm to the touch
• Brown or black marks around the prongs
• The plug fits loosely or falls out easily
• A burning or hot-plastic smell
• The breaker trips or the unit cuts out

The safety device built into the plug protects the cord. It won't tell you when the outlet itself is failing.

If you notice any of these, unplug the unit and give Fox Family Electric a call. Replacing a worn receptacle is a quick fix. A fire isn't.

BIG shoutout to my sister, Jennifer Fox, for pulling ALL of this together on such short notice so we could be part of this event! 🙌

She jumped in, handled the details, and made it all come together. And it turned out to be a very successful event for Fox Family Electric! ⚡️🦊

We had a great time meeting people, making connections, and representing our company.

Thank you, Jennifer, for making it happen! ❤️

What About the Outlets You CAN’T See?

If one outlet in a home looks like this, it makes you wonder…

How many other outlets have never been checked by an electrician?

Electrical problems aren’t always obvious. Sometimes everything looks fine on the outside while there’s a loose connection, damaged wiring, or an improperly secured box behind the wall.

You don’t have to wait until something sparks, trips a breaker, or becomes a fire hazard.

⚡ If you haven’t had your electrical system checked in a while, maybe it’s time.

🚨 This chandelier was literally hanging by the wires! 😳

The entire mounting had broken loose from the electrical box, and the plastic box in the ceiling had deteriorated and snapped.

The scary part? This was a relatively newer home.

If your light fixture is loose, sagging, or moving, don’t ignore it. Turn it off and call an electrician.

⚡️ Don’t wait for gravity to finish the job.

Found a new subcontractor living in our track lighting today. 🕷️ Guess he liked the fixture before we even finished installing it.
