Finished up this Rosetta Hardscapes retaining wall. These are concrete blocks formed to look like cross ties. They are manufactured by Earthscape Supply and can be done in a couple colors. This wall was built to fix the issue with dirt washing from the neighboring lot against this customers home. The sidewalk was not even visible because it was covered with 2-4” of dirt. Building in a new road down a steep hill. Cut a large ditch on the left side and an existing ditch on the right side. Putting a lot of crown in the road to get as much water as we can to go off to the ditches instead of down the center of the road. The rotator and grade beam make easy work of building a crown into the road. While also doing initial grading.

Customer said it was so smooth, he could perform circumcisions in a wagon on the road after we were done. We’re just going to take his word for it.

Someone originally designed this culvert drainage to flow OVER this driveway. Which caused the water to come off the top and eat away under the driveway. We ripped it all out. Made a ditch to the left of the entrance. And installed a new culvert under the driveway and erosion rock all around it. Then re-poured the driveway. (Customer added the edging blocks.)
