We are currently seeking multiple Electricians for Residential new construction as well as Service Work! Candidate must be knowledgeable, dependable and able to work well with others.

Responsibilities:

- Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures
- Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems
- Troubleshoot residential custom homes and/or production type homes
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
- Service changes, fan & fixture installations,
- Alarm system knowledge is a plus+
- Home automation and audio/video knowledge is a plus+
- Adhere to all quality and safety codes

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in electrical installation (at least 3 years)
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
- Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Must be a great communicator and be able to deal with customers
- Extremely clean an have good knowledge of NEC electrical code
- Good driving record

HAPPY FRIDAY FRIENDS AND FAMILY! We are excited to share our new FRIDAY BLOG with you - The weekly segment will be called "On This Day in Electrical History".

This week we are going back a few days, and many years to June 3, 1889...

On June 3, 1889, Portland General Electric made history, producing the first long-distance transmission of direct current electricity in the US. The company transmitted electricity a distance of 14 miles, from Willamette Falls in Oregon City to Portland. The early line was the only source of power to the city of Portland, electrifying streetlights, homes, and businesses. This would be, historically, the first delivery of residential electrical service in North America.
