Exciting momentum for one of Palm Beach Gardens' premier retail destinations. Urban Design Studio is proud to be part of the team working on the proposed redevelopment of the former Sears site at The Gardens Mall, which could become home to a new 140,000-square-foot Dick's House of Sports. The project would transform a long-vacant space into an interactive destination designed to enhance the visitor experience and further activate the mall. The proposal is scheduled for a city vote this week.

A well-earned honor. Golf Inc. Magazine has named the BallenIsles Sports Complex an Amenity of the Year for 2026, awarding it second place in the Multiple Amenities category. The recognition celebrates a top-to-bottom transformation: a reimagined pool and pool deck, new outdoor dining, a renovated restaurant, members lounge, and club room and art studio, new tennis courts and pro shop, and refreshed landscaping throughout. Working alongside the Leo A Daly team, we led the entitlement and planning efforts, site planning, hardscape and landscape design, and construction phase services that brought it all together. Hats off to UDS team members Lindsay B., Jillian Sellers, Valentina Broglia, and Lauren Sands, AICP.

Shovels are in the ground at Alton Delray. Construction has officially begun on this 386 unit Class A apartment community along the South Congress Avenue corridor, with 154 homes set aside as workforce housing under Florida's Live Local Act. Projects like this matter in one of South Florida's most supply-constrained coastal markets, delivering quality, attainable housing with easy access to Atlantic Avenue and the wider region. The South Dixie Highway corridor keeps evolving. Pebb Capital's proposed eight-story, mixed-use development would bring 350 residences and ground-floor retail to an 11.6 acre site just south of downtown West Palm Beach, adding both housing and energy to one of the city's fastest-growing areas. It is exciting to provide the planning services helping shape this next chapter of the corridor.

A major step forward for Cresswind. The Sebastian City Council has unanimously advanced the future land use amendment and conceptual planned unit development for this 382 acre, 900 home age-restricted community proposed by Kolter Homes in Indian River County. Designed around open space, lakes, and resort-style amenities, Cresswind reflects a thoughtful approach to managed growth. We are proud to provide the planning and entitlement work guiding this project from concept toward reality.

New details on Wingrove Academy, the private prep school planned for 45 acres at Wellington's K-Park. Opening is now set for August 2029, with the $280 million campus set to serve over 1,000 students and offer a STEAM focused curriculum plus a $10 million scholarship fund for local families.
