What a difference a year makes.

When we started this Wisconsin ground-up project, our team was de-icing the ground just to prepare for foundation work.

Now we’ve wrapping up under summer skies with a finished project we’re proud to share.

There was a lot of work between then and now, and a great team behind every bit of it.

Good food and good company.

Recently, members of our Arizona, California and Texas teams (left to right) got together for dinner before everyone headed back to busy schedules and job sites.

It was a chance to catch up, talk about what they're seeing in their markets and spend time together outside the day-to-day.

The conversations don't end when dinner does. There's always something to take back to our teams.

Not something you expect to find in the middle of a building.

While planning the renovation of a former bank branch, our team uncovered a decades-old bank vault with 22-inch-thick concrete walls.

Finding it during preconstruction—not demolition—gave us time to rethink the plan. Every wall had to be cut into 1-foot-by-1-foot sections and removed piece by piece before construction could move forward.

The surprises didn't stop there.

We also found a nearly new HVAC equipment that didn't meet the bank's standards. Rather than default to replacement, we worked with the client and project partners to find a solution that protected their investment while keeping the project on track.

The result? The project was delivered under budget.

After nearly 50 years in construction, we've learned that every building has a story. The key is uncovering it early enough to turn challenges into solutions.

You don't build the future without first making room for it.

Last week, as we celebrated 50 years of ASI, CEO Tiffany Anzelc picked up a marker and left one simple message on the walls before the demolition crew moved in: Demo.

A few days later, our team walked the space together, already imagining what comes next.

Because what comes next is a brand-new building we'll call home.

Most people look at demolition and see an ending. We've spent 50 years learning it's simply the beginning of what's next.

We can't wait to share more of the journey.

We're having a foundation-al summer.

Some people measure summer in vacations. We measure it in milestones.

One of the best parts of a ground-up project is the first time you can walk through the building and see months of planning become something you can experience, not just imagine.

Our Northern California project has reached that point. The structure is up, interior work is underway, and while there's still plenty to do, we're happy with the momentum and how it's taking shape.

We can't wait to see what this project looks like the next time we walk through it.

Fifty years ago today, ASI opened its doors.

For five decades, we've had the privilege of working alongside incredible employees, clients, architects, trade partners and subcontractors. Thank you for placing your trust in us, project after project.

Today, we're proud to unveil our 50th anniversary logo as we begin celebrating 50 years and continue building on the trust that's brought us here.

We'll have more to share in the months ahead, including the opening of our new headquarters this November.

From winter weather to summer sunshine, this Wisconsin tenant improvement saw it all.

After months of hard work, we're proud to celebrate the completion of this full gut renovation. Every season brought new challenges, but our team stayed focused on delivering quality.
