Job description
Greenauer Blacktop Inc. is seeking reliable and experienced Mechanically Inclined Site Work Laborer to join our dynamic team. As a Mechanically Inclined Site Work Laborer at Greenauer Blacktop Inc., you will play a critical role in helping with various site preparation and construction activities, including grading, trenching, and assisting skilled tradespeople with a variety of tasks. The ideal candidate will be capable of maintenance and repairs on construction equipment as needed. be motivated, reliable, and eager to contribute to the successful completion of each project.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with site preparation and clearing, including digging, trenching, and backfilling.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and light equipment.
Assist in the installation of various site components such as drainage systems and utilities.
Ensure the work area remains clean and organized.
Perform regular maintenance on construction equipment (e.g., bulldozers, excavators, cranes, backhoes, etc.).
Diagnose mechanical issues, troubleshoot, and repair equipment as needed to avoid downtime.
Ensure all equipment is working at optimal performance levels to meet site development deadlines.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
Perform general labor duties as directed by supervisors or foremen.
Requirements:
Previous experience in construction or maintenance is required.
Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
A strong commitment to safety and reliability.
Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
