Last week we Spray Foamed the entire floor area of our new addition. 🧱❄️
Why foam under the slab? Two big reasons:
1️⃣ Insulation that actually works – Closed-cell spray foam creates a continuous thermal break between the ground and the concrete. No cold spots, no drafts. That means a warmer floor in winter and cooler in summer, with way less energy waste.
2️⃣ Moisture and v***r control – Foam seals the subgrade, stopping moisture from wicking up through the slab. No damp floors, no mold risk, no musty smells down the road.
Did you know? This application can provide a radon barrier when used in the basement of your new build prior to concrete!
