Kokosing

Kokosing Together, we can build it all. Kokosing's story has humble beginnings in the small rural community of Fredericktown, Ohio.

Two men began turning work into jobs so they could feed their families. Others joined them along the way, to become one of the largest construction companies in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic. Those values still ring true today as Kokosing, Inc. has grown to encompass transportation, industrial, and marine contracting capabilities as well as asphalt and aggregate supply. Throughout this growth and development Kokosing has stayed consistently grounded to the roots of its beginning.

Mental health is an essential part of our safety culture.

We’re quick to monitor our physical health, but mental health matters just as much. Stress and other mental health challenges can affect focus and decision-making on the jobsite—putting you, your family, and your teammates at risk. Check in with one another, speak up, and seek support when needed. Together, we can foster an environment that strengthens the safety and well-being of our team members!

Kokosing Industrial is honored to receive the 2026 Outstanding Small Project Safety Award from The Coalition for Construction Safety - CCS for the Kokomo Peak Excess Flow Treatment Facility project.

Kokosing’s number one core value is Safety First, and this commitment is deeply embedded in our culture, our management philosophy, and daily operations. This value is not simply a statement—it is consistently demonstrated through our training programs, leadership approach, and dedication to developing a strong safety culture.

Completed two months ahead of schedule, the project involved more than 100,000 total labor hours across all onsite contractors. Kokosing team members contributed more than 73,000 of those hours without a single lost-time or recordable injury—an outcome made possible through strong coordination, clear communication, and an unwavering focus on safety by team members.

We are grateful to our team members, the City of Kokomo, and our subcontractors for their shared commitment to this goal. Congratulations on this achievement!

Happy National Asphalt Day!

Did you know 94% of roads in the United States are paved with asphalt—making it the material of choice for the roads we rely on every day. Here in Ohio, we’re proud to support the infrastructure and transportation projects that keep our communities connected by providing high-quality asphalt construction materials. Asphalt is a part of daily life, often in ways we don’t even notice. And behind every mile paved are the skilled professionals who make it all possible.

Today, we celebrate our incredible team members. Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and commitment to safety as you help pave the way for our industry!

Congratulations to Andrew Habrle (orange hard hat) on his promotion to Kokosing Foreman! 👏

Andrew started with Kokosing Industrial as a carpenter on a wastewater treatment plant project in Pittsburgh, PA—and from day one, he was focused on growing his craft and building what’s next. Through our Foreman-In-Training program, he sharpened his leadership skills, stepped into new responsibilities, and proved he was ready for the next level.

A big shoutout to his mentor, Superintendent Zach Eikleberry, for the guidance, support, and real-world lessons along the way.
