Hope you made it through the storm ok, but looks like more to come! Please check your home for damage. Typical problems after a storm include loose or disconnected gutters, cracked or broken window panes, loose flashing around the chimney and plumbing vents, and loose or displaced siding. Make SURE repairs and estimates are from licensed, bonded, and insured professionals--like ME. :) Ask for the Facebook disount!

Had fun at the homeshow this weekend! Couln't help noticing no one, BUT NO ONE, using brass for doorknobs, fixtures, faucets, etc. If you are considering selling your home or just want to update or "class it up", think about replacing those with satin nickel, brushed nickel, or oil rubbed bronze. Please warn older parents and other loved ones of potential home repair scams. Seniors make up 15% of the population but 30% of those targeted for scams. Make sure contractors or others who claim to do home repairs are licensed, bonded, and insured.
