🪐As Elon Musk continues to set ambitious goals for colonizing Mars (or, as some believe, building a spaceship to return to his home planet), we think you shouldn't lag behind. So, it's time to learn more about in space!
What will be in use for building in space and why?
🚀Concrete - one of its ingredients can be replaced with lunar dust, resulting in a stronger product. Moreover, with innovative solutions such as self-healing and light-generating concrete, the material is becoming more useful to the industry.
🚀Transparent Aluminium - it's 85 percent harder than sapphire and resistant to oxidation, corrosion, and radiation, which makes it a safe material for people to use.
🚀Graphene - it’s 3D printed carbon, 200 times stronger than steel, but at the same time much lighter than it. Such a small weight makes it perfect for transportation to space and use in building.
With this list in mind, you can already start thinking about starting your construction project in space. We are intrigued by what contracting for space projects would look like, but for now, it is probably worth taking it one day at a time😜
