☀️🇺🇸 Don't Let Water Chemistry Ruin Your 4th of July Weekend! 🇺🇸☀️
With the heat we've been having, many pools across Indiana are reaching 90°F and above. While that's perfect for swimming, warm water can cause your pool chemistry to change much faster than normal.
The best pool problems are the ones you prevent, not the ones you have to fix.
If you're planning to host family and friends this holiday weekend, don't wait until the morning of your party to check your pool. Taking just a few minutes now can help you avoid cloudy water, algae, or low chlorine when your guests arrive.
Here are a few things to check:
🧪 Check your chlorine before guests arrive.
Warm water, sunshine, and heavy swimmer loads use chlorine much faster than normal.
⚖️ Watch your pH.
Hot weather and increased pool activity often cause pH to rise, making chlorine less effective.
🏊 Expect higher chlorine demand.
Sunscreen, sweat, lotions, and increased swimmer load all consume chlorine. Plan to test again after the holiday weekend.
A little preventative maintenance today can save a lot of frustration tomorrow.
