Past Project Spotlight: “The Camphouse”

Inspired by the old-school Boy Scout camps once found around Lake Martin, The Camphouse was designed to feel right at home in its surroundings. Wood wall and ceiling treatments run throughout the home, while expansive Pella Windows and Doors windows frame the incredible views outside.

Perched high on Eagle Ridge, the home has sweeping views of Lake Martin while still maintaining a sense of quiet seclusion.

From the beginning, we worked closely with our client and designer to select the right lot and develop a plan specifically for the property that fit the character of the neighborhood, took full advantage of the views, and addressed the challenges of building on a steep site.

The result is a home that feels like it was always meant to be there
and one of our favorite projects to look back on.

This one is officially headed to its new owners. Before we hand over the keys, we’re taking you inside for one last look at the Charlotte plan.

There’s something exciting about starting from the ground up.

We’re officially underway on our newest spec home in The Highlands - Daphne at 339 Loch Ridge. Right now it may just look like dirt and equipment, but over the next several months we’ll be taking this homesite from foundation to framing to finishes and, eventually, a completed home.

We’ll be sharing the process along the way - not just the pretty parts, but some of the planning, problem solving and construction details that go into building a Lake Martin Builders home.

Daphne will be available for purchase, and getting in early means there may still be time to make some of the selections your own.

Currently our only available home in The Highlands, this 2,678 square foot, 4-bedroom, 3-bath home sits on one of our favorite lots overlooking Highlands Lake.

One of our favorite additions to this plan is the huge covered back porch overlooking the water - the perfect gathering space for morning coffee, football Saturdays, or a house full of family and friends. Inside, an upstairs bonus room and loft give you even more flexible space to make your own.
