99 Coolidge Avenue, the newest life science project in Watertown, will reside on the six acre property formerly occupied by the Mt. Auburn Club. The five story, 255,000 SF building is being built to the highest sustainable standards; and it will achieve LEED v4 Gold certification and exceed the Massachusetts Stretch Energy Code standard for reduced energy consumption by 40%. On-site parking will be housed in an efficient 6-story above grade garage which will directly connect to the building via an enclosed, second story bridge.
Beyond its LEED certification, the building will be built with ultra-efficient building mechanical systems, an enhanced façade and a highly efficient envelope design. Additionally, both buildings will support a robust solar array on each roof that will produce 780kwh energy on an annual basis for on-site energy consumption.
