Saturday at Edmondson Village
It was Saturday morning, and half of Baltimore seemed to be headed to Edmondson Village. The parking lot sparkled with chrome and tailfins as families piled out of their cars. Mothers carried shopping lists, fathers stopped to talk with neighbors, and kids hurried toward the soda fountain hoping for a treat.
Under the long covered walkways, everyone seemed to know someone. A trip to the drugstore, a new pair of shoes, and a quick hello to friends turned an ordinary shopping trip into a day out.
For a generation of Baltimoreans, Edmondson Village wasn't just where you shopped—it was where the community came together.
