So, in 2009 this is where I started. I bought this home, removed the pine trees, tore down and cleaned up the outbuildings and 40 ft chicken coop. The house was gutted of all plaster cabinets plumbing and electric . Next was the decision to raise it and fix the foundation. We used three steel beams the length of the house, blocked and braced them to the floor and used 9 - 20 ton hydraulic bottle jacks, raising the entire structure 1 1/2" at a time until a little over 2 ft. After that, poured concrete, underpinned w new block work and sat it back down.

12 years ago a home I had bought and was remodeling was the victim of arson... With a complete loss it was cleaned up, dug up, hauled away, and filled in.
I redesigned a home from the foundation up and took out new permits in 2013 .
Ten years later, final ... I will be updating John Rice & Son soon with some of the construction process so stay tuned.
( It will be something like a daily documentary through my process and my construction career of the past thirty years!)

Lamberth has lost a friend, mentor and member of our extended family after 31 years of dedicated service. Norman Williams attention to detail and product knowledge will be missed by all. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and friends!

There will be a Celebration of Life 2:00 o’clock Saturday afternoon January 6th, at Corrottoman Baptist Church.
