This was the last driveway completed before snow ended the work season. This customer stated the last time their driveway saw any major improvements was back in 1989. From years of plowing and lost foliage the ditches were full and no place for proper drainage. We opened up ditches, removed large rocks and several stumps along the way. We then used the soil conditioner (Harley Rake) to remove the remaining larger surface rocks and shape the base with proper grade. 136 tons of ledge pack was trucked in, graded and compacted. With a little upkeep yearly, this driveway will last them for many more years to come.

This landowner waved the white flag as he attempted to clear the driveway to their camp. It became apparent to him it would take days if not weeks to complete. He reached out to have the area mulched.

This customer called to expand their parking area near the house and dig some flower gardens. He also explained the water continuously washed out his driveway. After looking at the driveway it was apparent his driveway acted as a river bed as all the water from rain storms was unable to shed off the travel portion. They decided they wanted their whole driveway refreshed. The parking area was expanded 3’ on each side by removing the organic soil and placing 1 1/2” ledgepack approximately 8” thick in that area and at the beginning of the driveway where it meets the roadway. The grass was removed from the driveway and it was all topped with 1/2” ledgepack. It was crowned for proper runoff and now the water will now shed off the driveway properly.

Another road project complete. This is a repeat customer who reached out as he needed his .3+ mile road upgraded. The road could only be traveled by a truck, as cars would bottom out. He didn’t want a major overhaul and asked not make it too nice, as he didn’t want everyone driving up to his house. (I think I may have failed that request😁) Ditches were formed for proper water runoff and the sub-grade was sloped in many areas. He requested the parking area around his residence to be done and to add a turn around half way up. Approximately 350 yards of crushed gravel was trucked in, spread, sloped and compacted. Enjoy the photos.

Before and after photos of another residential driveway completed! Customer advised driveway had been neglected for years and was looking for it to be updated with proper drainage, a small swale to stop flowing down their walkway and extending the area where they have their carport. Removed soil from carport area and added 8” of gravel.

After several weeks of rain, we finally got a break…. This was another repeat customer and this time they wanted their driveway refurbished. Again, I failed by not taking before photos, but I took one off google street view to give an idea of the before condition. The travel portion was lower than the sides so water was unable to shed off the driveway which caused many issues. I used the soil conditioner to both reshape the travel portion and to shape the sides/ditch so water can drain away. Grass areas on the travel portion were removed for a good base for the new gravel layer. Gravel was brought in, spread with a proper slope to allow proper drainage and compacted.

Well of course I would forget to take before photos, but I did get a couple midway ones.

This camp road split between two owners. Both reached out to have a layer of gravel put down for their section. The owner’s car, that lives at the end of road, bottomed out as the center of the roadway was hu**ed up with sunken wheel ruts. Small saplings also were overtaking the end of roadway and that owner wanted them thinned out in his section. We started by removing the organic material that had accumulated over the years and shaped the sub-grade. There were many large rocks that were also removed, you know, the ones that only stick up a couple inches, but are 3 feet in diameter when removed,😂. Gravel was brought in and spread and compacted.
