Today we’re celebrating 10 years of Matt DeRose Builders.

There have been a lot of changes over the past 10 years ... new employees, new tools, new projects, and a whole lot of houses ... but one thing hasn’t changed: we’re still proud to do what we do and take pride in the work we put our name on.

We’ve had the chance to build some pretty amazing homes, remodel spaces that people have loved for years, and work alongside some really great customers, employees, subcontractors, and vendors.

A huge thank you to everyone who has trusted us with their homes and supported us along the way. We truly wouldn’t be here without you.

Here’s to 10 years ... and whatever comes next!

We’re looking for a few people to join our crew.

We’re hiring 3 experienced carpenters and 3 laborers.

If you’re a carpenter, we want someone who is well-rounded and comfortable leading a crew and teaching others.

If you’re a laborer, we want someone who is willing to learn and wants the opportunity to move up.

We do custom homes, remodels, additions, decks, siding, trim, and plenty of other work. There’s always something different going on, so it’s not the same thing day after day.

Monday–Friday, 7:30–3:45. Home every night. Steady work year-round. Pay based on experience.

So, what are we actually looking for?

For a carpenter:

Someone who knows the trade, can lead a crew, can work through problems, and is willing to teach the people around them.

For a laborer:

Someone who may not know everything yet, but wants to learn. Someone who can take direction, stay busy, pay attention to the details, and wants to work toward becoming a carpenter.

For both:

Show up on time. Have a good attitude. Communicate. Do good work. Don’t cut corners.

That’s pretty important to us.

We’re currently looking for 3 experienced carpenters and 3 laborers to join our team.

We work Monday–Friday, 7:30–3:45, and you’re home every night. We have steady work year-round and pay based on experience.

One thing we’re pretty proud of is how long people stay.

We have employees who have been with us for over 10 years, one for 5 years, and others who have been here for 3+ years.

We think that says something.

We’re a small company, so you get to know the people you work with and you get to take some ownership in the projects you’re working on. At the same time, we’re busy enough that you aren’t doing the same thing every day.

We’re looking to add 3 carpenters and 3 laborers to the crew.

We want people who work hard, pay attention to the details, communicate, and take pride in doing things right.

We’re looking for experienced carpenters.

Not just someone who can swing a hammer, but someone who is comfortable looking at a project, figuring out what needs to happen next, and helping the people around them get the job done.

We have a good mix of experienced guys on our crew, including some who have been in the trade for decades. We want to keep that knowledge moving forward and have people who are willing to teach the next generation of carpenters.

Our work is mostly residential — custom homes, remodels, additions, decks, siding, trim, and more. Every project is a little different.

What we do need is someone who wants to learn.

Someone who will listen, follow directions, pay attention to detail, stay busy, and ask questions when they aren’t sure how to do something.

Our goal isn’t just to have someone move materials around all day. We want our laborers to learn the trade and have the opportunity to move up into carpentry.

You’ll be working alongside experienced carpenters who have been doing this for decades. There’s a lot to learn, and we have people here who are willing to teach.
