Question: What am I observing?
Answer: This is an example of a Fernco being utilized to connect two disparate materials, specifically clay tile piping to PVC. Subsequently, during the backfilling process, the soil around the pipe was not properly compacted, resulting in some shifting.

Question: Will this cause an issue?
Answer: It potentially could, but hopefully not. Based on the camera footage, the flow is actually moving in our direction, indicating that the water is flowing downward, not upward. If the flow were reversed, it would undoubtedly be a problem.

A. How NOT to plumb in your water heaters. This is wrong. Plain wrong and anyone who tells you otherwise is wrong. You should NEVER plumb your water heaters in like this. The purpose of having 2 water heaters connected is to have access to as much hot water as possible. Plumbing them in this way pretty much ensures the heater on the right does all the work and the heater on the left does nothing. Also there is no expansion tank(customer has a backflow on this $900k house)
