Dee Hanks had planned to make this post next week but the “cat’s out of the bag”! This post is to announce the retirement of Dee and the closing of Hanks Construction Company!
We apologize to the family members, friends, business associates and vendors that we have not had a chance to talk to before the announcement was made.
In 1972, Dee’s dad, Terry Hanks, created Hanks Construction Company. In 1990, Dee bought 50% of the business and became partners with his dad. In 2008, Dee became the sole owner of Hanks Construction Company, LLC
Our family has been blessed to have served the community’s’ boat house and pier needs for over 40 years! We have enjoyed sponsoring many sports teams and events. All of our sons (Andrew, Collin, and Grant) have worked in the business at different times. Grant, our youngest has been our business manager since 2018.
It is time for us to move on to other business endeavors and enjoy retirement after many years of work.
Dee is closing Hanks Construction Company. However, if you have boathouse or pier needs, he recommends his brother Mike’s company, MK Hanks Construction, 903-839-2564
