Run hot water until it is no longer hot and keep running for an additional 10 min or so. Run cold for 15 min or so and this should flush out your lines and water heater. Feel free to call with any questions

Ok, so I'm getting this info at the same speed as you, so I have limited info. According to 13 news flush your toilets, run water and you'll be fine... Doesn't quite make sense to me as the toxins are in your water lines, the city mains and have been cooking in your water heaters for a couple days which concentrates the toxin. I'm not gonna say that this for certainly needs to be done, but AT my house I will be turning my water off, removing my meter, allow for lines to drain, turn valve on at meter and flush into buckets repeatedly, reconnect meter and finally drain and refill water heater 2-3 times. I have been receiving calls in regards to what to do about water heaters and water lines in their homes. Obviously the toxins are in your water lines and water heater. Worse in your water heater. At some point I would have to think that they will need to be drained and flushed, but until we have water corrected and some info on best procedure for flushing your system and safely having water, please just follow instructions on the news.
