Some of our CEI crew had an absolute blast at the Cleary Sip & Savor event! 🎉🍷

We loved coming together to support future graduates and help make sure more students can cross that graduation stage. It was a fantastic night filled with great food, fun games, and even better company!

Today, Kirk Oesterle, one of our CEI Foremen, was honored with the Achievement Award from Walbridge for his dedication to safety, outstanding performance, and strong commitment to Walbridge’s mission, spirit, and core values while working at the Blue Oval Battery Plant in Marshall, MI.

On 10/6/25, after 9 unannounced penetrations were made into the cell plant, even though the other contractors did not follow protocol, Kirk and his crew immediately got to work — repairing, tracking, and securing each one. With heavy rain in the forecast and two late-reported penetrations (including one above an electrical panel), Kirk stayed late and crossed the building to ensure everything was properly sealed and safe.

No hesitation. No complaints. Just dedication, communication, and getting the job done right.

Because of Kirk, a potential hazard — and major damage — was avoided.

Last week, CEI was proud to sponsor and participate in the IBEC Great Lakes Chapter Charity Golf Outing ⛳️.

This year’s outing supported Love For A Child, a faith-focused 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving children, youth, and families in Michigan’s foster care system. Their mission provides hope and healing through overnight camps, mentorship programs, and resources for foster families caring for children who have experienced trauma, abuse, abandonment, or neglect. 💙

We’re honored to contribute to such a meaningful cause and spend the day on the course with industry colleagues, including Terry Owens from QXO and Will from Carlisle.

When temperatures rise, so do the risks — especially for kids, older adults, and those with health conditions. During extreme heat, we all need to keep an eye out for one another.

👀 Check in on:
Elderly neighbors or relatives
Friends or family without air conditioning
Outdoor workers and young children
Pets — they feel the heat too!

💬 A quick call, a bottle of water, or helping someone find a cool place can make all the difference.

🌡️ Heat Wave Alert: Act Fast if You See Signs of Heat Illness! ☀️

Extreme heat can be dangerous — especially when your body struggles to cool itself down. Heat illness comes in different forms, and some can be life-threatening.

🚨 Know the Signs. Take Action Fast. If someone shows signs of:

Heavy sweating or no sweating at all
Nausea or vomiting
Dizziness or fainting
Confusion or disorientation
Rapid pulse or muscle cramps

👉 Don't wait! Move them to a cooler place, offer water, and seek medical help if needed.

💧 Stay hydrated. 🧢 Dress light. 🕶️ Take breaks.

Happy National Roofing Week – Day 4: Employee Training! 🎉

Today we’re highlighting Employee Training, and we couldn’t think of a better example than our Fall Prevention Safety Meeting back in April. 👷‍♂️🦺

Our team received OSHA certificates for participating in Take a Stand for Fall Prevention, and to NARI for credit as well.

🙌 Special shoutout to Melvin for leading the PowerPoint with our Spanish-speaking team. And Huge thanks to Jacob, Matt, and Adam for helping to make the training a success. 👏

Training is a key part of our culture at CEI, and we’re proud to keep safety and learning front and center. 💪
