In August we spent over $4,900.00 in repairs to our 2006 F550 truck with 84,000 miles on it. Now December, the truck is back in the shop. We talked to the Ford Corp today (case -3731378) and they stated they could not offer any help. The truck sits at University Ford and Kia of Durham where the first repair was done. Now only 2,000 miles after the first repair it is looking like another large repair bill. We are a family run small business who takes pride in our work and reputation.. what about you Ford Motor Company?

Fall Tip!!

Now is a great time to plant, plant material around your home and in your garden. Do not prune your plants at this time, it may create a new flush of growth that will not "harden off" in time for the first frost. That frost will "burn" the newly flushed leaves and although it is not harmful to the plants, it will be unsightly.

Have a great day!!

Our tip for the weekend...

Now is a good time to seed your fescue lawn. Seeding at this time will give you time for the fescue to germinate and to get at least one or two mows in before leaves start to fall. This is also a good time to use a starter fertilizer on your fescue.

Have a great weekend!!!

Good Morning! Today we are talking about mowing height. In the summer months many people ask us what can they do to make their fescue look better. Most of the time they are just mowing to low. Don't scalp your lawn!! Here is some information from Keith...

It’s that time of year to make sure you are mowing at the proper mowing heights. Fescue needs a mowing height of 3 ½ inches or higher in the hot summer months. In the 30 plus years I have been in the business it is the number one thing people and some landscapers do to sabotage the looks of their lawn. Do not go by the setting on your mower!!!! Set the mower on a flat surface, take the keys out of the ignition and put the mower down. Take
a tape measure and measure from the blade to the ground, and put it in the setting that will get you to a proper mowing height. One of our commercial mowers will show 4.25 inches on the setting to get an actual 3 ½ inch mowing height.

Have a great weekend!
